REM River Bluffs, a partner of The Mentor Network is hiring a full time in home caregiver for Wabasha and Goodhue County. Experience providing in home care is an asset. This position pays $10 an hour. A valid driver's license, good driving record and proof of insurance is required as well as a clear criminal background check. Staff are reimbursed for mileage.


Description

Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support individuals with disabilities; children with emotional, behavioral or medical complexities; children and adults with brain injury). As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with REM River Bluffs you’ll be one of those special people.

DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can’t speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one’s true potential.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
