Spartan is currently hiring Sorters in the Eaton, OH area.

Job Description

Job will be performed on site to sort and inspect parts for defects. Most of the inspections are visual, but occasionally the inspections may require the use of gauges.

Job Requirements

• What we do is important, so attention to detail is crucial. In many cases if we miss an inspection, the end user could be affected. For example if we are sorting a part that goes into a braking system and miss catching a defective part, the car's brakes may not work and could contribute to accident/injury. You should treat every inspection as if the part was going on your own personal vehicle or into an item that you are buying.
• High School/GED
• Standing for long periods of time
• Frequent walking on various surfaces
• Frequent bending
• Occasional repetitive work with hands
• Lifting <50 lbs. frequently;>50lbs. infrequently
• Must be able to pass near vision test
• Must have the ability to drive a car and have a valid driver's license (good driving record).
• Dependability-must be at work consistently and on time.
• Safety and Security-must observe safety and security procedures.
• Written Communication-must be able to read and interpret written information.
• Quality Control-the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors their own work
• Confidentiality- individuals do not communicate proprietary information to unprivileged parties.
• Problem Solving –individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Communicates problems and potential solutions to manager.
• Oral Communication- individual speaks in a clear and professional manner to customers, employees and managers. The individual addresses issues in a timely manner and has strong follow up skills.
• Interpersonal Skills- individual remains open to other's ideas and exhibits willingness to accept constructive feedback.

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour
Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday; 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
