Oversees transportation operations within an assigned region to ensure professional, safe, and timely transportation of all clients and staff members.  Responsible for policy and procedure development, workflow scheduling, employee supervision and operational efficiency of assigned locations. 


 


Essential Job Functions



  • Produces and analyze reports for key metrics.

  • Conducts the quality assurance program.

  • Monitors the hours actually worked, approves time sheets and requests for time off and maintains necessary associated records for the Transportation Specialist staff.

  • Assures company assets are kept in appropriate condition.

  • Completes annual performance reviews for assigned staff.

  • Seeks ways to improve job efficiency and makes suggestions to the appropriate manager.

  • Works with senior management to ensure operations and relations are efficient and effective.

  • Assists with counseling and corrective actions for employees displaying problematic behaviors.

  • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.

  • Attends educational offerings to keep abreast of changes and comply with operational requirements.

  • Oversees Safety First reports and ensures accident and incident reports are completed correctly in a timely manner.

  • Assists with new employee orientation and training processes.

  • Ensures Comfort Care policies and procedures are enforced at all times.

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Administration, Management or a related field required.

  • 2+ years of operations experience

  • 1 year of supervisory experience required.

  • Must be at least 25 years of age or older

  • Must have a valid and active state driver's license.  (Florida must have valid Class B license).

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills



  • Operations experience within a transportation industry preferred.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency preferred.
