The Senior Patient Care Coordinator collaborates with all members of the care delivery team as well as front and back office staff in supporting the vision, mission and goals of Urology Specialists of Nevada.

Primary Responsibilities:


 



  • Provide lead guidance, support, and training for the front office and non-clinical staff.

  • Function as first contact for customer service issues. Resolve complex issues by deferring to supervisor/manager.

  • Responsible for enforcing custom service standards, billing functions to include patient check in and out process, cash handling, demographics and insurance information.

  • Oversee and monitor empanelment and call process making adjustments as needed to meet customer's expectations, mediate patient issues and manage the administrative aspect of the patient's visit, ensuring that customer service standards are met.

  • Complete daily deposit.

  • Accountable for adherence to business compliance audits criteria.

  • Serves as lead in assisting management with staff oversight, orientation and training.

  • Oversight of efficient customer service processes including waiting room management.

  • Responsible for compliance requirements as dictated by clinic and company.

  • Maintain current list of clinic assets.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the clinic and report to management when items need to be replaced.

Requirements

Requirements:



 



  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 3+ year's experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital admitting setting to include practice management system experience.

  • CPR or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.

  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Proficient in cash handling and control methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of coding methodology including CPT-9 and ICD9 Codes.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
