We are currently hiring for 2nd shift Painter positions in Monticello, MN. This is an excellent opportunity with leading manufacturer.

Painter
• Reads work order or receives instructions.
• Smoothes surfaces and removes old paint from surfaces to prepare surfaces for repainting.
• Fills holes, cracks, and joints with filler if needed.
• Mixes paint with thinner solution according to formula.
• Pours premixed paint or lacquer into reservoir of machine.
• Moves sleeve on nozzles to attain specified spraying pressure and turns thumbscrew to direct nozzles toward articles or materials to be coated.
• Paints surfaces with spray gun.
• Regulates the temperature of the bake oven.
• Removes articles from drying racks when dry and appropriately stacks them on pallets if required.
• Must abide by all safety regulations and use common sense in all work related decisions.
• Let Sheet Metal Foreman or Manufacturing Manager know when consumable materials need to be reordered (paint, thinner, etc.).

Job Requirements:
• Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently and 10 pounds regularly
• Must have good manual dexterity and be able to work with various tools necessary to perform the job.
• Must be able to efficiently paint the products.
• Must be able to adapt to a constant variety of products and schedule.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Help out and work in other areas of the company as directed by foreman or manager.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must wear leather work shoes or boots

Wage: $10.00/hr

Shift: 2nd shift (will train on 1st)
