Medical Assistant - Outpatient - (Med Asst)
StartDate: 06/30/2014Available Shifts: 8 D

Under the direction of a physician, medical assistants perform various routine administrative and nontechnical clinical tasks. The medical assistant is usually responsible for the following duties:
  • Greet patients
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain medical records
  • Perform billing
  • Additional administrative duties Also, depending on the specialty and office size, medical assistants may perform clinical duties (e.g., taking patient vital signs, drawing blood, preparing patients for exams, administering medication).

    Required Qualifications
    We have a great local position for you!
    Process human urine and oral fluid specimens. Knowledge of medical terminology. Accession specimens; verify information on requisitions and specimen matches. Maintain specimen integrity. Accurately enter appropriate information into the computer system. Bar code and aliquot specimens with appropriate speed and accuracy.
    Healthcare experience preferred - and must be comfortable on a computer.
    Will need to do home health specimen pickups only with possibility of mouth swab collection. Will be reimbursed with mileage.
    Candidate to go into home for collection in decent areas and not so good area's. Most patients are 55 and older.
    Candidate to use their cell phone to coordinate schedule with patients. Would recommend to have GPS on phone. Will be reimbursed for their cell phone bill each month up to $50.00 max.
    3-7 collections/day.
    Candidate will get proper training and support from client.
    Must have 1 year healthcare with 1 year of refs.
    40 hours per week - 8am-5pm
