Web Developer - Full-time / Part-time

Reports To: Sr. Web Developer, Team Lead

Role: The Web Developer will have overall responsibility for working on a variety of projects primarily involved in web site design and development, including creation of custom graphics. Responsible for designing the user interface and overall customer experience for our web sites and applications. This includes overall navigation flow, layout of specific pages, and creation of individual graphic elements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Code usable and compliant HTML/CSS

Create div based website layouts

Understand information hierarchy

Code for cross-browser compatibility

Understand website usability standards

Scripting – proficiently read, write, modify JavaScript

Use of jQuery or Prototype

Basic programming skills

Write/Edit in scripting languages such as asp or php

Learn c# and expand script knowledge

API integrations

Design skills

Document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self produced technical work and job processes

Be involved with entire creation process: wire framing, HTML mark-up, CSS, scripting, wiring/coding, QA testing

Must engage with industry trends, technologies, and standards and research and apply said technologies as needed

Use source code control

Use content management system tools

Skill Requirements:

Successful candidates will likely have a four to five years experience in Web-based graphic design or web interface design, B.A.
