Diesel Mechanic Summary: Repair and inspect company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner.
Diesel Mechanic Shift: M-F 1st shift with occasional Saturdays
Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics on fleet of medium duty trucks
- Build, rebuild and repair all parts of automotive equipment, as may be required in the department assigned to
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components parts and systems.
- Engine repair and overhaul
- Inspect equipment used
- Read precision instruments
- When applicable use welding skills
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following:
- Required:
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 5 years of related equipment maintenance and repair
- Must furnish own tools
- Valid driver's license
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Preferred:
- Mechanical or trade school certificate
- ASE certificate
- CDL
