Forklift Operator/Baler

The baler operator is responsible for baling recycled materials, and assuring that the quality of the materials is up to standards.

Loads and unloads scrap metal into baling machine
Compress bales and ties baling wires
Operates forklift when necessary for production and baling purposes
Maintains baler, clears of all trash to make sure machine doesn't malfunction

Working hours: 40

High School Diploma or GED required
Must be willing to submit to and pass a background check and drug test
1 year forklift experience
Ability to read and interpret documents, ability to write routine report and correspondence
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Forklift certification preferred

Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
While performing the duties on the job, employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle product, and talk or listen.
