About this job
Prepares specifications for apparatus and control instrumentation used to test experimental or prototype pumps, and conducts tests and records results. Incumbents assist engineers with formulating and testing or other activities relating to design or reliability. Intermediate level works under limited supervision following instructions and procedures which are well defined but which may require the exercise of some judgment in application.
Requirements
Associates’ degree (A.A.S.) from a technical school AND 2 or more years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience with data acquisition, including programming
- Experience with pumps or hydraulics
- Experience with data loggers
- Experience with electrical
- Understands and reads blueprints
- Fluid Power (Hydraulics) graduate is a plus Must be proficient in Word and Excel software.
Work may require incumbent to occasionally lift objects weighing 40 pounds
