Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room Nurse - (OR RN)
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $35.96 *
As a valued member of this Operating Room (OR) unit, you can expect to care for patients with a wide range of conditions, even very complex cases. The respected members of this Operating Room (OR) unit are looking for a team-playing, compassionate RN to join their ranks. This position presents an excellent opportunity to provide optimal patient as a member of an elite team of caregivers.
The role of the perioperative nurse / operating room nurse (OR RN) is to provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery or surgical procedures. The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant or operating room director with additional training. Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Perioperative nurses work in every type of healthcare facility, including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers, and physician offices.

Melrose, a part of the greater Boston metropolitan area, is also the home of Andy Macdonald, the great American pro skateboarder. The city has an annual jazz and art festival, a symphony orchestra, fun canoeing camps for all age groups, tennis courts and golf courses that “wow” everyone who visits.
