Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU Nurse - (PACU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 N Pay Rate: $38.00 *
Welcome to this fantastic Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), where innovative care teams bring the best of themselves to their patients and compassionate care meets the latest technology. Your expertise will be utilized for optimal patient care within this top-notch facility.
The role of the post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) is to provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. The PACU RN treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs, monitoring their vital signs to determine necessary care. (Postoperative nausea is a commonly treated symptom.) Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Required Qualifications
DE RN LIC or Compact state
3 yrs exp
ACLS
NIH Stroke Cert
Floating to ICU if needed - must have ICU experience
ZERO NICOTINE POLICY: The facility has a zero nicotine policy, this includes smoking and all nicotine products. The HP will be tested for nicotine as part of the DS and again once they start. Please make sure the HP is aware and compliant with this policy.**
