1st shift / $12-18 doe
JOB SUMMARY
Primary responsibility provides communication and support to distributors but will also include support for contractors, plumbers, building inspectors, outside sales staff, and all internal departments relative to sales, customer service and related administrative items. Assist in various administrative functions pertaining to supply chain processes that are necessary to support day to day business. Occasionally participates in tradeshows or related functions.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer phones and handle incoming calls relative to providing customer support.
• Research and resolve customer claims, communicate with appropriate parties.
• Develop and maintain direct customer relationships.
• Assemble literature requests and other printed marketing material or promotional items.
• Assemble announcements or mailings when needed.
• Review and process customer purchase orders and credit returns – Order Entry.
• Enter shipping serial sheets for control product number records
• Process purchase requisitions
• Assist in daily paperwork or processes, as assigned or requested that support the supply chain for all
• warehouse locations
• Extract system data necessary to support field personnel, other internal departments or management.
• Will have an active role in annual physical inventory
• Participate as needed in local customer visits and/or show functions
• Participate in occasional National Tradeshows ( 1 per year)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Dependability and good work ethic
• Strong people skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Intermediate computer skills to support order entry, system inquires, Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to Multitask and manage/balance workload, espec during the busy season (Aug-Mar)
• Ability to handle stressful situations, ‘put out fires’ and create win-win solutions
• Ability to balance the ‘Customer is always right’ mentality while supporting company
procedures and policies.
• Manage critical company confidential information or sensitive situations with utmost integrity
when dealing with customers and difficult circumstances.
• Repetitive phone calls
• Repetitive computer usage ( Monitor and Keyboarding )
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma
• Previous Customer Service / Inside Sales experience
• HVAC industry experience preferred
