Labor & Delivery Nurse - (LD RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N
For more than 75 years, Shannon Medical Center has served this area, growing with the community and serving its health care needs. Our facility is licensed for 400 beds and provides a variety of clinical services to meet each patient's needs. We are the designated Lead Level 3 Trauma Center for the region, have a nationally-recognized Intensive Care Unit, provide critical care to newborns as young as 28 weeks, perform state-of-the-art diagnostics in our radiology department, and provide complete testing and surgical capabilities for the cardiology patient among many more services. Shannon Medical Center has a 100 mile radius rule, no contractor will be employed if they live within this radius.
Labor and delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages. They provide support and monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth and deal with any potential problems. They may also provide support and education to mothers and their families after giving birth. LD nurses are found in hospitals, clinics and physician offices, and maternity or birthing centers.
Required Qualifications
TX lic
ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring
2 years minimum experience
Candidate must have scrub / delivery / circulating / and c-section recovery experience.
Candidate must also have OB Trace B View Charting experience.
