Driver

Responsibilities

Provide a communication link between test Automobiles and office staff and to operate and maintain assigned vehicle. Duties include operating and maintaining test vehicles with a focus on safety and data transfer; fueling the vehicles; documenting usage; preparing trip reports; preparing accident and incident reports as necessary.           

• Read and understand specific vehicle operating manual and be able to operate every device in the car.
• Maintain and operate communications devices, emergency response and Telematics equipment.
• Provide a communication link between customers and staff.  Interacts effectively with Engineers, IT and executive personnel and managers. 
• Read and understand roadmaps; employ available Global Positioning Satellite navigational devices.
• Ensure accurate and timely test data and trip reports based on fluctuating assignments and requirements. 

Qualifications

Drives during irregular hours in daylight and nighttime hours; stays overnight on extended trips. Must maintain automobile in clean, polished, flawless operating condition, operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, maintain defensive driving and obey all traffic laws and limits.  Possession of valid Driver's License and a safe driving record.

Successfully undergo employment, reference, criminal and civil background check.  Must be able to:   understand vehicle sounds, horns, sirens and other ordinary traffic sounds and warnings; read and understand rules, operating and maintenance manuals, company procedures and customary documents in English; solve practical problems and react quickly and calmly to changing or emergency circumstances; establish effective professional relationships with customers, co-workers, and upper level staff and employees; prepare concise and accurate records and reports; and travel long distances for testing purposes.

H.S. Diploma required.
