Meal and Break Coverage Sales Associates are:

• Scheduledin 4-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday
• Assignedto move throughoutthestore to ensure appropriate sales floor coverage during meals and breaks
• Able to pick up additional selling shifts eachFriday, Saturday, and Sundayusing our self-select tool
• Enjoy a retail discount of up to 20% on their purchases
• Eligible for paid time off and other benefits if minimum hours requirements are met
• Typically available to work when ourmeal and break coverage needs are the greatest,generally late morning through late afternoon hours

This Macy's location utilizes an innovative way of planning work schedules. The My Schedule Plus system allows an associate to participate in the creation of his/her own work schedule, enabling our associates to address the amount of flexibility needed to meet both personal and work obligations. Key Accountabilities:

While allpositions within Macy's requireworking as part of a team to meetdepartment and store objectives, yourindividual responsibilities as aMeal and Break Coverage Sales Associate may include:

• Greet and make a connection with each customer; actively listen to determine his/her needs and present options to meet those needs
• Assist the customer in the selection process, by utilizing yourselling skills and expert product knowledge
• Maintain constant communication and contact with the customer from the selection process to the closing of the transaction at the register
• Maintain current product knowledge to best assist in customer sales for the area assigned
• Maintain selling floor, stock areas, and fitting rooms where applicable to present a clean, neat, and easy to shop environment
• Handle returns graciously and always partner with a Manager when judgments need to be made
• Follow all Loss Prevention and safety procedures
• Adhere to weekly work schedules
• Perform other duties as required

Skills Summary:

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work as part of a team, or independently with minimal supervision
• Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and adaptable to all areas of the store
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and quickly learn new procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including evening, weekend and key shopping events
