Responsible for monthly, quarterly  and annual client and health  plan financial reporting.  Responsible for development and maintenance of analyses in support of optimizing client cost management, including but not limited to: financial trending, utilization trending,  and medical  cost trending  for client IPAs that have  both commercial health  plan and Medicare books of business. Responsible for financial accounting of Medicare book of business. Responsible for budget planning  and analysis preparation.

 

Positions in this function generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, SG&A, provider performance, product  line profitability, membership, medical  costs, premium  yields, and other areas of business. Researches economic progressions to assist with the organization's financial planning.  Presents findings and recommendations to management. May include responsibility for budget planning  and analysis.

- Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise.

Requirements


CPA preferred

 

Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting,  Business or Finance reqruired

 

Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking ability

 

2+ years experience in finance required

 

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must Microsoft Access experience is a must Analytical and database skills a plus Understanding of basic  accounting principles Crystal Reports experience is a plus

 

Must have  the ability to communicate both in written and verbal formats  with various  levels of management

 

Must have  the ability to set priorities and meet  deadlines

 

Must be detail-oriented
