Full Time Assistant Teacher. The hours for this position are 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. These hours are guaranteed! You will not be sent home when classroom is in ratio!

Kids International Early Childhood Education is a privately owned, NAEYC Accredited child care center serving families in West St. Louis County for over 20 years. Our curriculum is based on Project Construct and the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Possess strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Be energetic, flexible, patient, loving and creative.
• Be able to go outside for extended periods of the day
• Work well in a team environments
• Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Successful candidates will have a working knowledge of Project Construct, Reggio Emilia and Developmentally Appropriate Practices.

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities include:

• Providing a safe, clean environment for the children
• Assisting in the smooth running of the classroom activities
• Taking children outside for playground and outdoor classroom activities
• Cleaning of classroom throughout the day
• Communicating with parents at close of day
• Writing observations of children throughout the day
• Being creative & flexible
• Anecdotal note taking
