Senior Product Manager - Personal Care - Full-time

Manage a fast growing $80 million category as a Senior Product Manager in Medline’s Personal Care Division, located in Mundelein, IL. We are seeking a dynamic, creative and hard-working professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual will have a broad range of responsibilities in strategically planning, organizing and leading the product category from conceptual stage through the product life-cycle to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

• Evaluate and research the market to determine new growth opportunities and develop new product lines/product improvements
• Travel with sales representative to assist with product evaluations
• Craft and deliver presentations to sales force and customers
• Negotiate with vendors to ensure business goals are met and deliver continued cost improvement while maintaining strong business relationships

• Work directly with the buying team to identify and approve new sources along with directing current factories on forecasting and new product development

• Manage functions associated with launching new products and managing existing products by developing sales literature, internal and external marketing publications, presentation materials, and training,
• Build excellent working relationships with internal sales, national accounts, marketing, quality, and regulatory teams
• Work closely with manufacturing and operations to oversee new production planning, surplus, backorders and substitutions.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
• 5-7 years of previous experience with product management and marketing preferred OR will consider 3+ years of previous relevant experience with an MBA
• Clinical background / previous healthcare experience is preferred
• Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow-up skills required
• Excellent presentation skills for large and small groups
• Must have strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have a bias toward action and be results oriented
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Travel required 20% of the time including international travel
