Direct Hire Pre Authorization Coordinator

LOCATION: Vancouver

SALARY: $21-$23/hour DOE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A growing regional health group is looking for a Pre Authorization Coordinator.

Responsibilities include:

-Manage complex referral and preauthorization requests and determine the course of action to be taken.

-Utilize the nursing process when reviewing referrals. Ensure referral processes are completed in a timely manner.

-Analyze and interpret clinical data, medical records, laboratory tests/ values and complex medical tests. Maintain documentation requirements.

The hours for this position are Monday- Friday 8AM- 5PM.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

-Washington State LPN license without restrictions. 5+ years of clinical experience.

-Sound judgment and a thorough knowledge of medical practices and terminology.

-Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods, use multiple computer screens, multi-task and work as part of a team.

-Strong prioritization, organizational, time management and verbal/ written communication skills.

-Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office products.

-Must be flexible and open to new challenges and shifting priorities.

-Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
