Maintenance Technician

Hours: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-12:30am or 12:00am-8:30am Essential Functions This position is primarily responsible for maintaining equipment in a production environment. Responsibilities include completing preventive maintenance and general work orders, troubleshooting equipment, monitoring utility equipment and completing facility maintenance projects. Light fabrication, carpentry and project work as directed. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities *Experience in the food industry is preferred, but not required. *This position requires a High School Diploma/GED *Have an operating knowledge of computers and computer applications. *Knowledge of PC and PLC based control systems is highly desirable *Electrical troubleshooting skills are highly desirable *Mechanical experience with some or all of the following equipment in use at the facility such as fans and pumps, power transmission components - gearboxes, bearings, motors, couplings, sheaves, belts, roller chain, and augers, conveyors, bucket elevators. *Familiarity with standard OSHA programs - LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc. *Work closely with the production to maintain tight production schedules, reduce operational downtime, and improve process efficiencies. *Must be able to routinely lift 50+ lbs, climb, crouch and work in a variety of environments
