General Maintenance Tech

Manpower is partnering with yet another client as their business grows. We are recruiting a temp-to-hire general maintenance technician to monitor pressurized equipment in multiple buildings on-site, collect small water samples and do general walk-throughs of the facility during the weekend shifts. The job will include completing maintenance / inspection logs and following a routine of observation and documentation. The right candidate will be self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and open to working both indoors and out. There is a substantial amount of walking, so a person who is capable of being up and moving around for extended periods of time would be ideal. Lifting up to 40lbs. is an elemental facet of the position. The company is very stable, and has a low turnover rate. People with a strong work ethic and a high desire to work as a part of a team would be right at home. Hopefuls must also: *Be willing to submit to and pass a drug screen *Be willing to submit to and pass a criminal record check *Have a high school diploma or GED *Have reliable transportation, as the company is remote and not accessible by bus *Be able to tolerate strong, distinct odors Training takes place on 1st shift, Monday through Friday during the introductory period. Upon hire the position transitions to a Thursday through Sunday 1st shift schedule. Working weekends is a vital, non-negotiable part of the job long-term. There will also be mandatory overtime, and a rotating holiday schedule.
