The Time Warner Cable office currently seeks a/an Applications Support Mgr for our Information Technology Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Applications Support Manager provides support for a number of key enterprise production applications, tools and systems. Additional responsibilities include: Production deployment scheduling and control, reports distribution, service level support, backup, recovery, capacity and disaster recovery planning functions for care and telephony related applications.
The manager supports activities for critical systems, ensures their integrity and quality of service. Provides functional, technical or process leadership. The organization will depend on this person ' s ability to manage multiple teams.

Essential Job Functions:
Manage daily activities for production control and IT employees to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems with the user community. Oversees and coordinates technical support for end-user training, production, testing and application configuration modifications. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all information entered into production scheduling and problem management systems. Develops and maintains output service-level agreements with user departments and business units. Responsible for incident management, troubleshooting and resolution for application related issues. Works with all resources and dependencies in support of the stability of the applications supported. Manages and coordinates schedules and on call staff Responsible for management and business reports and communications. Management level of contact for escalations, outages and priority incidents. Reviews Requests for Change (RFCs) related to supported applications and approves accordingly. Manages and provides support for maintenances and other planned events. Monitors applications for health and plans improvements/ corrective action as needed.

Job Requirements:


- Excellent communication skills

- Comprehensive knowledge of and competence with complex SQL stored procedures and Microsoft development tools, including .NET, ASP.NET, COM objects, C#, VB, VBA, VB Script is required.

- Web based technologies, XML, HTML and JavaScript

- Java, Websphere, and IIS competency desired

- Knowledge of general windows / Unix system administration tasks desired

- Strong competency in applications development and support methodologies, best practices, and current technologies.

- Excellent analytical skills

- Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, both business and IT associates, as well as external vendors

- Ability to lead and mentor junior technical team members.

- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Provide off hours support as needed for maintenance and incidents

Preferred Qualifications:

- Project management skills is a plus

- Strong influencing / negotiation skills

- Prior supervisory skills

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
