Packaging Engineer
Port Washington area manufacturer is looking for a talented Packaging Engineer to join their growing team. This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering a competitive compensation package.
- Designs equipment used to protect consumer goods.
- Define product component and finished good specifications, along with assembly instructions.
- Research materials and improve the industrial techniques used to package products.
- Develops prototypes and conducts testin.
- Use design software to create efficient designs.
- Determine capabilities of components through the use of studies, statistical techniques and designed experiments.
- Work with customer to obtain desired requirements and expected outcome.
- Works closely with manufacturing to troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
- Packaging Engineering degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.
- Knowledgeable of primary and secondary packaging.
- Understanding of package testing and methods
- Must have knowledge of regulatory restrictions as they apply to states and countries.
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
