In this highly visible role, the Manger, EHR Implementation Specialist will be responsible for team management, with a focus on ensuring effective roll-outs of electronic practice management and electronic medical records software to Monarch physician practices.  In this hands-on position, the Manager will mentor staff and supervise the implementation, configuration, office training, and support activities of EHR Specialists team, while actively participating in implementation activities as needed.   Coordinate support activities with IT leadership team and ensures compliance with software management protocols.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  




  • Manages the Specialist team providing direct guidance, mentoring, career path and development to ensure team success in meeting role in implementing / supporting physicians with the use of NextGen and related products.

  • Manages new practice implementations and assists the EHR Clinical Director with managing the physician user based forums.

  • Leads development of implementation methodologies to ensure successful projects

  • Represents team in various EHR related forums to ensure the organization maximizes the value of the EHR connectivity strategy

  • Represents team and Monarch at appropriate NextGen committees

  • Coordinates support approaches with colleagues in IT leadership to ensure customers' needs are exceeded.

  • Partners with staff to develop individual goals and provides mentoring, coaching and career development opportunities

  • Complies with all management expectations and fulfills obligations timely

  • Completes annual performance appraisals of team members

Requirements


  • 2 years working in a healthcare environment

  • 3 years previous experience supervising or management a small team, including mentorship and training

  • 3 years experience working in an electronic medical records or electronic practice management field (NextGen, Cerner, E-Clinical Works, etc.)

Assets:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or area of expertise

  • Demonstrated expertise with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Project)

  • Previous experience troubleshooting web applications
