Primary
Responsibilities:
Contact customers to determine
reason for payment delinquencyNegotiate and advise on collection
of overdue bills and take appropriate action to recover overdue paymentsHandle unresolved inquiries/ issues
Responsible for developing,
implementing, maintaining and managing organization policies on collection
practicesMay work with outside legal counsel
and/ or outside agencies in more complex collection casesModerate work experience within own
functionSome work is completed without
established proceduresBasic tasks are completed without
review by othersSupervision/ guidance are required
for higher level tasks
Requirements
Requirements:
High School Diploma/ GED
Available to work 40 hours per week
within the operating hours of the site (Monday - Friday 730am to 5pm)
1+ years of customer service
experience using the telephone and computer as primary tools to perform
job duties.1+ years of basic proficiency with
Windows PC applications which includes the ability to learn new and
complex computer system applications1+ years of customer service
experience in a call center environment1+ years of experience with
Facility coding such as: ICD-9 & 10, HCPCS, Revenue and CPT CodingAuthorization to work in the United States
Assets:
Medicare billing and/ or
collections knowledgeKnowledge of Self-pay
MSP knowledge
Noridian System experience
Bilingual
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of hands/ fingers across keyboard or mouse
