The Senior IT Program/Project Manager for Application Developmentwill be involved in the definition, management, and implementation of significant technology IT application and development projects. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to broaden into a leadership role based on performance and proven competency.  Align technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with various levels of IT and business management. Proactively identify opportunities, conduct analysis, needs assessments, cost/benefit assessments and broker other IT services, including those involved in release management.

 

Responsibilities include:


  • Managing one or more large IT projects in a matrixed environment

  • Perform as a cross application PM if required on large projects

  • Provide regular project status to executive IT and business leadership

  • Manage project cost estimation and tracking of budgets

  • Work with application leadership groups and EPMO team to allocate project resources

  • Successfully deliver projects by leveraging UHG processes

  • Accountable for driving project deliverables to successful implementation as defined by the project scope and requirements

  • Lead at Team of Projects Managers

Requirements


Required Qualifications:  





  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience

     



  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager or a combination of experience in these roles

     



  • 8+ years of project management experience for complex application projects

     



  • 8+ years of experience in Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management

     



  • 8+ years of budget tracking and complex cost benefit analysis, forecast and justification

     



  • Strong experience building and managing relationships with all levels including IT executives and business leaders

     



  • Strong SDLC background

     



  • Demonstrate previous experience managing projects in a matrix environment

     



  • Demonstrate experience leading/directly managing people 



Preferred Qualifications: 





  • PMI/PMP Certification

     



  • Health Insurance background

     



  • Experience with Planview, Clarity and/or MS Project
