This position leads and manages all phases of small to
mid-size instructional design and communications development projects in
support of Shared Services business needs and organizational values.
Uses standard instructional design processes, templates and guidelines
to design, develop and maintain training materials within established
timelines.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Project Management:
  • Establishes work effort, timeline, tasks and workplan
  • Manages project within established scope, timeline and dedicated resources 
  • Ensures project meets established milestones and troubleshoots issues as they arise
Project Planning and Analysis:
  • Interviews and consults with key business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Creates project plan and ensures overall project is delivered on schedule and within scope
  • Communicates effectively to provide project status updates to supervisor, requester and other business leaders
Design and Development:
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders to create and communicate overall training/communication approaches
  • Designs,
    develops and maintains materials such as manuals, participant guides,
    training updates, quick reference guides and communication independently
  • Incorporates
    the use of varied delivery alternatives, including self-study,
    instructor-led, computer-based, web-enabled and other options
Implementation Support and Measurement:
  • Monitors and evaluates the impact of training and communications
  • Identifies ongoing and re-training needs and recommends solutions
  • Participates
    in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and
    creative solutions to improve policies, processes and tools

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to approximately 10-15% of the time.
  • 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design, Training, or Adult Learning theory and application.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Word and PowerPoint); Baseline development tools used to create training materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • SharePoint experience.
  • WebEx experience.
  • Experience designing Web-based training in a corporate environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills utilizing any of the following: Flash, Captivate, Dreamweaver, Articulate Studio, or Storyline, and/or Photoshop.
  • Healthcare experience.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.
