About Our Optum Technology Commercial Delivery Team:
Optum Technology Commercial Delivery Team provides technology solutions development and integration across the SDLC including requirements, functional specs, design, custom development, integration, testing, and deployment. Our team maintains a strong focus on structuring, managing, and implementing complex technical solutions requiring deep business expertise, process optimization, and business operations knowledge to achieve significant and measurable business value.
Our technology professionals help clients identify and solve their most critical information and technological challenges. We provide advisory through end-to-end implementation services as well as outsourcing services and are recognized in the marketplace for capabilities across the spectrum.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with company senior leaders and/or outside vendors on complex issues having impact across segment/Company
- Formulates and defines system scope and objectives
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results
- Evaluates business requirements and prepares detailed specifications that follow project guidelines to develop written programs
- Design, evaluate and document solutions against stakeholder requirements
- Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation
- Generate innovative ideas to resolve problems
- Responsible for the completion phase of the project to ensure success
- Assist in training junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
- 8 or more years of experience in application systems analysis
- 5 or more years of experience working through the analysis phase of the application development life cycle
- 3 or more years of Agile, Waterfall or similar methodology
- Ability to travel up to 100%, especially in early stages of the project
- Experience interacting and consulting with senior leaders and/or outside vendors on complex issues
- Leadership skills

- Healthcare industry experience
- Consulting or commercialization experience
- Exhibits and applies comprehensive knowledge of systems analysis to the completion of challenging assignments
- Ability to comprehend the impact of the challenge at hand to the broader technology and stakeholder environment
- Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities
- Exhibits and is able to demonstrate the relationship of data structures as they relate to integrated systems solutions
- Thorough understanding of technological infrastructure and how it relates to project solutions and integration
- Has a firm understanding of the problems and issues of clients, the industry and the business environment
- Strong facilitation skills to synthesize and communicate back customer requirements
- Proven externally facing relationship building and trust inspiring skills with stakeholders
