UnitedHealth Group is on the rise!  We are currently searching for an experienced Voice/Data Engineer to join our growing group in Ontario, California. 


 


The voice data engineer position is responsible for the day to day maintenance and support of Nammcal's data and voice infrastructure systems. The voice data engineer will interface directly with customers to address incidents and service requests reported to the service desk. The voice data engineer will also be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and documenting the voice and data infrastructure systems. Additionally the voice data engineer will be responsible for participating in infrastructure projects and be accountable for tasks and project deliverables assigned as applicable. The voice and data engineer role requires on-call and after hours support responsibilities to address and resolve issues for a 24x7 data center.


 


 


Responsibilities:


 



  • Day to day support of Nammcal's voice and data network infrastructure

  • Respond to and resolve customer incidents related to voice and data network technologies

  • Monitor, maintain, and remediate incidents, service requests, and issues related to the support and functionality of Nammcal's data and voice network systems

  • Maintain documentation of all data and voice network systems

  • Work with the senior voice / data network engineer and other subject matter experts to address capacity, reliability, design, and long term strategy needs that align with IT and business objectives

  • Respond to and address adds, moves, and changes (MAC) requests for the cisco call manager system and related applications

  • Participate in the on-call rotation as directed to respond to after hour events and incidents for nammcal's voice and data infrastructure and call manager telephony systems

  • Participate as needed in infrastructure related project as a resource, responsible for project deliverables as required based on project requirements

  • Provide reports and communicate to leadership regularly on the status and condition of all data and voice infrastructure systems as directed

Requirements



  • 5 years designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Layer 1-4 cisco voice and data network systems

  • 5 years working in a technical support role, maintaining network and data infrastructure systems

  • 3 years working with the following applications: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Presence Server, Cisco Attendant Console and Cisco Contact Center Express

 


Assets:


 



  • B.S degree in information technology or other computer related field

  • Professional Certifications such as: CCNA/CCNP R&S CCNA/CCPN Voice

  • Current knowledge of networking principals and technologies

  • Able to work with minimal direction

  • Previous consulting and or solutions engineering experience
