About this job

Lead strategic initiatives crossing business teams and operating groups as a Senior Project Manager to coordinate and complete projects, define performance and results and manage vendors and service providers. Senior Project Managers will determine time frames, funding needs, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, allotment of resources to various phases of projects and lead others in the organization to make meaningful process improvements. Developing business plans and cost benefit analysis for assessment by Regional/Senior Leadership is required. You'll investigate non-standard requests and problems, makes presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Pertinent data and facts will be reviewed to identify and solve issues and mitigate risks, prioritize your work load and work on ad hoc projects as assigned.


Preference given to candidates who, in addition to the above skill set, clearly demonstrate:
 
-Ability to provide analytical, advisory and implementation services in areas such as concept development, requirements development, facilitation, cost benefit analysis, process design and planning, performance measures, feasibility analyses, transition planning and change management.


-Ability to design solutions based on customer needs and technical considerations.


-Ability to analyze job tasks, organizational structure and user requirements to provide improvement solutions.


-Ability to apply analytical expertise to assist in defining, analyzing, validating and documenting complex process or organizational solutions.


-Displays a very high level of comfort in working with senior and executive leadership. Works closely with them to understand business needs, priorities and complexities. Identifies risks/issues and associated options to mitigate, providing clear, concise articulation of the problem and proposed solutions. Outlines program needs that are barriers to success along with potential options to rectify.


-Provides strong leadership and judgment and has direct responsibility for the successful execution of large scale cross-business and cross-functional Program Initiatives that are designed to achieve key business objectives. Typically these programs are defined as high cost, highly complex and/or high risk.


-Understands connections of business strategy to program initiatives and as such can develop and implement appropriate tactics to objectives.
 

Requirements


  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience.

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • 5+ years experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions.

  • Actively pursuing PMP Certification

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
