Labor & Delivery Nurse - (LD RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 D/N Pay Rate: $31.00 - 35.00
General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Manage the nursing care of the Labor/Delivery patient, post partum recovery care, high risk antepartum, triage patient, cesarean section pre-op, recovery and immediate post operative care. Able to independently perform complete OB assessment and SBAR communication to Providers and fellow staff RNs.
Equipment utilized in the unit/department
EPIC documentation experience/knowledge required. Highly recommend experience with EPIC Stork, Pyxis, Alaris IV medication pumps, Gemstar Epidural pumps. OBIX fetal monitoring preferred.
Labor and delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages. They provide support and monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth and deal with any potential problems. They may also provide support and education to mothers and their families after giving birth. LD nurses are found in hospitals, clinics and physician offices, and maternity or birthing centers.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years OB/Labor and Delivery experience
BLS
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
Active NRP certification
EPIC computer charting
