Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU Nurse - (PACU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D Pay Rate: $31.71 *
Prince George’s Hospital Center is an acute care teaching facility and regional referral center that was founded in 1944. Located in beautiful Cheverly, Maryland, this facility provides easy access to the Washington, DC area, giving you the ability to enjoy many interesting sites and activities.
In our PACU unit we pride ourselves in providing specialized patient care using advanced technology and sophisticared therapy, in a compassionate environment.
The role of the post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) is to provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. The PACU RN treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs, monitoring their vital signs to determine necessary care. (Postoperative nausea is a commonly treated symptom.) Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Required Qualifications
2 year inpatient recovery room experience
ICU experience
trauma hospital experience
previous travel experience
compact or MD license
start date 4/22 or 5/13
Preferred Qualifications
CERNER EXPERIENCE
compact or MD license
