The Planning & Design Developer will lead Design and Engineering vendors to produce schematic designs, construction documents and presentations that meet internal and external commitments and requirements. Review and give feedback on initial schematic design packages for consistency with AN and manufacturer standards/facility requirements.This individula will monitor project tracking system, timelines and milestone to ensure compliance with manufacturer agreements and AN internal commitment and maintains Design and Industry Relations Manager abreast with progress of projects with respect to these timelines and milestones. This position is directly involved with conceptual design, furniture, and graphics packages to ensure projects meet AN design standards and fully engaged in the creation and implementation of AN design standards. The Planning & Design Developer will be responsible for ensuring manufacturer reference materials contain correct and up-to-date information regarding design standards, facility requirements, and manufacturer-specific vendors. The Planning & Design Developer will actively participate with the CRES design team on all aspects of projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and pro-actively track timelines for all CRES projects holding project team accountable for schedule commitments and provide frequent reports regarding upcoming milestones and commitments
  • Prepare design packages for internal use as well as for communications with region management, vendors, and manufacturer representatives
  • Ensures manufacturer image requirements and vendor lists are accurate and include the most recent information available regarding standards and incentive programs
  • Hands on production of schematic design/construction packages for approval by CRES, Corporate Management and Manufacturer Representatives
  • Creates and recommends design solution to Design and Industry Relations Manager and external A&E teams
  • Negotiates with FF&E, signage and graphics vendors for presentation packages and proposals

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in architecture or related field
  • 5 years minimum practical design experience
  • Strong understanding of design and construction processes
  • Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
  • Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs, as well as, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or In-design, and Sketch-up

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive design experience at corporate level with manufacturer or dealer/owner
  • 3D modeling
  • Retail design experience
