This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Mail Services business unit. This business unit helps customers earn the best possible discounts on First-Class and Standard postage with our presort services, doing work the U.S. Post Service would otherwise have to perform. This service spans the globe with international offerings, ranging from mail preparation and fulfillment to courier and freight services.
Pitney Bowes is seeking a Mail Courier/Loader Driver IV (CDL A REQUIRED) to work in our Urbandale, Iowa location
The hours for this position will be 11pm-8am Monday-Friday ( 40 or more hours per/week)
Additional hours maybe required on an as needed basis
10 hours or more overtime availabe per/week
THE PAY FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE $19.50 PER/HR AND .50 INCREASE AFTER YOU COMPLETE YOUR PROBATIONARY PERIOD SUCESSFULLY
You will be required to drive a company vehicle for business purposes
CDL A is required to qualify for this position.
Operates an "articulating" vehicle (i.e. Tractor-Trailer combination, strait trucks or vans). Picks up and delivers mail from customer sites and performs the following duties:
Inspects products to verify conformance to customer and United States Postal Service, presort slugs and a pickup slip is attached with each order prior to loading on the truck.
Prepare materials for mailing including: applying postage, preparing items for shipment or collection, distributing items as needed, ensuring items are properly labeled and documenting data according to management guidelines
Maintain documentation for customers pickups such as collecting signature and tracking/documenting mail counts
Assisting clients with mail related questions
Verify and correct misdirected mail using all available resources
Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries
Performing warehouse duties including wrapping pallets, stacking trays and loading trucking with pallet jacks and hi-los.
Inspects assigned vehicle per the PB Presort Services pre-trip inspection guidelines and procedures daily. Reports any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be fixed immediately.
Maintains a daily driver's log for mileage and cargo where required by DOT regulations.
Assists in other areas as needed between assigned pickups.
Keeps vehicle clean.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
CDL A required
At least 2 years experience driving a tractor trailer
Experience driving a hi-lo and operating pallet jacks Minimum of six months post office, mail distribution experience preferred
Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills preferred
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
A valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
