DescriptionThe Project Coordinator reports directly to the IT Acquisitions and Continuous Improvement Manager and works with various project teams to achieve a timely completion of initiatives related to acquisition IT due diligence/ implementation, continuous improvement efforts as well as various IT projects.
The appropriate candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities of the project teams, identifying appropriate resources requirements and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks. The project coordinator must work well in team environment, with sound negotiation and problem solving skills and be able to combine initiative with professional discipline to accomplish assigned tasks.
Being a team player with strong organizational, communication and analytical skills with the ability to think independently will be key components for successful navigation of this role.
Responsibilities:
Perform project management activities such as status updates, project summary reports,presentations, and closing documentation.
Assist with developing and maintaining detailed technology related project plans
Perform final project activities, such as closing project documentation and archiving appropriate records
Provide support to continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in identifying areas of improvement and participates in continuous improvement efforts
Assist in the development of metrics to evaluate effectiveness of department processes.
Perform acquisition diligence and integration activities such as data collection,scheduling meetings, preparing reports and cost analysis
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
2-3 years of related experience in coordinating or managing projects in the IT industry is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Good working knowledge of how computers, networks, applications and databases work.
Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills are preferred.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to properly prioritize multiple tasks.
