Remedy Intelligent Staffing is hiring 3rd Shift CNC Operators for a growing company in Watertown.
POSITION SUMMARY
Machining Operators are responsible for producing machined parts by setting up, operating and maintaining machinery and/or additional equipment in their respective Business Unit and, may, at times, also be expected to provide support as a Machining Operator to other Business Units. Operators must work safety at all times and efficiently to ensure top productivity and quality in products produced.
- · Short Run – CNC Machine, Saw
- · Long Run –Manual Mill, Little Haas, Saw
- · Fab 4 – Big Haas, Saw
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- · Set-up mills/lathes/saws by installing tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, indicating vices, guards.
- · Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to internal and customer standards.
- · Maintains specifications by observing drilling, and cutting, including facing, and thread chasing operations and machining surfaces; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- · Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- · Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer’s instructions; trouble shooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- · Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- · Performs quality checks as prescribed and reports issues to their supervisor.
- · Complete relevant check lists, documentation accurately and timely and per instruction
- · Perform operator maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping per established schedules
- · Other duties as assigned
Equipment
- · CNC turning center lathes along with OD micrometers, calipers, bore/ID gauges, height gauges, profilometer, and other inspection equipment as required. Basic tools such as hammers, screw drivers, wrenches, etc.
Required Qualifications
Ø High School Diploma or equivalent
Ø 1-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ø Good attendance
Ø Ability to use basic math to analyze information and measuring equipment
Ø Basic computer skills
Ø Ability to work safety and efficiently
Ø Ability to work in a team and independently
Ø Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes
Ø Ability to read blueprints, engineer and customer drawings, and measuring devices
Preferred Qualifications
Ø CNC or Manual Machine (mills/lathes/saws) operation experience
Ø Ability to create and/or edit programs on CNC machinery
Ø Associates Degree or Certification in related skill or field
Ø Experience working with computers
Ø GDL experience or certification (Geometric, Dimensioning, and Tolerancing)
