 Job Summary: The Dispatch Assistant is responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Delivery/Dispatch Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing this facility, and as may be directed by the Dispatch Manager to assist in assuring that the Delivery/Dispatch Department runs in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.

 

 Essential Job Duties:

1. Dispatching trucks and all orders to be processed.

2. Making sure parts are delivered in a timely manner.

3. Ensure that all vendors’ parts are correctly processed per company policy.

4. Ensure that all returns to vendors are done correctly following company policy.

5. Make sure drivers arrive at work on time, loaded, and on the road.

6. Keep current on truck maintenance.

7. To ensure that Pos and Q-10s are with the correct invoices.

8. To ensure that the parts are correctly pulled and invoiced.

9. Other duties as assigned.

 Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

1. General knowledge of auto parts.

2. Must have proficient ability to read, write, and understand the English Language.

 

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:

1. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.

2. Drug free office environment.
