Telemetry Nurse - (Tele RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $26.00 - 30.00
Exclusive order to AMN Healthcare at a state-of-the-art 352-bed hospital in Downey, CA. Built in 2009 this hospital has 95 percent family-friendly private rooms. It includes a variety of environmentally friendly features such as large windows to allow for an abundance of natural light, carpeting made from recycled materials, use of 100 percent of fresh air and no recirculation, and paint made from non-toxic materials.
RN will work primarily in MedSurg
Nurse to patient ratios 1:4 for all shifts.
No Ancillary Staff.
Patients range in age from Adolescents to Geriatrics.
Unit patient population: Med surg, CHF, and Post MI. Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry.
Patient Care Delivery System: Primary and Team. Meds and drips administered: Natrecor.
Special Unit Procedures: TEE, Cardioversion. Documentation System: Computerized.
Supplemental Staff required to float when necessary.
Scrubs can be any color, RN provides their own scrubs.
The role of the telemetry nurse (Tele RN) is to provide care for patients by comfortably connecting them to machines that measure blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood-oxygen level, and electrocardiogram information. The tele RN also monitors and interprets this data, assessing any potential health problems and needs, while also developing nursing care plans and maintaining accurate medical records. A telemetry nurse typically works in hospitals or other clinical environments.
