UnitedHealth Group's technology group Optum Technology is growing!  We have an immediate need for a Java/.Net Developer. Located in our Cypress, California office, this hands-on role will be responsible for development, design and delivery of projects impacting our document generation and document storage, retrieval and archival system. 


 


Additional Responsibilities:  




  • Collaborate with the business to define technology needs as it relates to document storage, retrieval and archival and offer workable solutions


  • Hands-on system design, code, delivery and support of document storage systems


  • Collaborate with vendors to support document systems and investigate new technologies for supported systems


  • Become the document storage system expert

Requirements

 




  • 10 years IT experience


  • 5 years experience in a software development role using Java, .net or Oracle framework with a strong understanding and utilization of application lifecycle management and related tools


  • 5 years experience with Source, Build, Deployment (Configuration / Code Management) using Subversion or other automated tool


  • 3 years previous experience with Document Generation or Document Management Systems, like Oracle UCM, IBM Filenet, IBM P8, EMC Documentum, EMC xPression, top Down Client Letter and other Document/Content Management Tools


  • Proven ability to collaborate with both technology and business professionals


  • Able to to look across systems and identify common patterns and relationships and offer alternative solutions


Assets:


 



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Engineering

  • Master's degree in applicable area of expertise

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, evidenced by the ability to communicate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences in writing and verbally

  • Proven facilitation and negotiation skills

  • Self-starting and self-directed attitude

  • Previous experience working in the healthcare industry
