Program Coordinator

REM Iowa Community Services is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injury and emotional, behavioral or medical complexities. PCs provide assistance with building employment and social skills such as punctuality, personal hygiene, workplace behavior, time management, self-control and stress management. In addition, PCs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

Program Coordinators are a critical link to the community for those we serve, as well as serving as a bridge between our direct care and clinical staff to ensure the seamless delivery of services to the individuals we support.

To that end, the Program Coordinator role is a fantastic role to continue your career path in Social and Human Services. Program Coordinators facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and participate in a range of administrative duties including staff hiring, training, scheduling and oversight. Program Coordinators also participate in a professional on-call system and need to demonstrate a willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Three years related work experience
• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
• Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
• Supervisory experience preferred
