Aerotek is hiring production planners for our client in Vancouver. Candidates will be assisting with the following for their normal, high-end yacht production:
Job Description:
1. Plans and prepares production work packets using the Production schedule, Engineering Bill of Materials and Manufacturing Bill of Materials. Schedules materials deliveries, interfaces with Purchasing, Engineering and Production. Produces Estimated Cost and Material demand.
2. Identifies Project obstacles and resolves them using PDCA Process.
3. Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
4. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
5. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
6. Prepares production reports.
7. May prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.
8. Able to work in a team environment.
9. May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
