About this job
Our client, located in Marengo, IL, is growing significantly over the next 2 years and is currently looking to add qualified MIG welders to their 1st shift operations. All positions start at $15 per hour on a long-term contract to hire basis. The hours range from 8-12 per day, with start times between 4-6am, and overtime available almost every day!
This is a production welding position requiring knowledge and proficiency in MIG welding, specifically "spray transfer" style welding using 90/10 gas 0.045" wire. All welds are performed on 1/8" or thicker material requiring high amp/volt, multi-pass, and thick welds.
Qualified candidates will have 1-3 or more years of prior production MIG welding experience, or proof of completion of a welding certification program from an accredited institution.
To be considered, proof of a High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, as well as the willingness to submit to a drug test, background check, and completion of professional reference checks.
