Intensive Care Nurse - ICU Nurse - (ICU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $32.00 - 37.00

Additional Unit Information:
ICU Unit will float to ICSU, CSU, CCU (Critical Care Areas) and Tele
Patient Population (i.e Orthopedic, Urology, Mix, etc) Respiratory, Neuro, post surgery, ICU, and post CSU on vents.
Specific Procedures and Interventions Performed on Unit
Skills/Requirements/Certifications for Nurses
Nuerosurgical overflow, acute neuro, active GI bleeds, DKA on insulin drips, Surgical patients: craniotomy, thoracotomy, AAA, Renal Failure requiring CRRT or hemodialysis, CCU overflow.
Ventilator patient management, ABG's interpretation, pacemakers- permanent and temporary.
Monitor- Hewlett Packard. Vents- PB2000, Purit
Critical care nurses (CCU RNs) assist in the treatment of acutely ill patients with life-threatening conditions, in settings requiring continuous vigilance, complex assessment, and high-intensity therapies and interventions. Working with the patients and their families, ICU RNs strive to create healing, humane and caring environments while also focusing on patient advocacy, working in settings such as intensive care units and cardiac care units, where patients require complex assessment, high-intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance.
Required Qualifications
1. Must have Swans
2. EKG and arrhythmia knowledge.
3. experience with other types of Critical Care patients.
4. Must have a 3 or 4 on checklist for Hemodynamic Monitoring (PAP, PCW, CVP,SVR, PVR, CO, CI).
