Optum Medical Networks in UT is a collaborative organization prepared to transform the healthcare delivery in UT. We look to work with providers and patients to identify opportunities for improvement in an effort to maximize the provider-patient relationship to deliver exceptional results. We are a team of professionals seeking others who can effectively communicate and influence change in a collaborative, team approach.


 


The primary responsibilities of the Director Clinical Quality include creation and implementation of quality program for the UT market.  The individual will create and execute the plan for improvement across the UT market, collaborating with all stakeholders. This role will work with network managers, medical director, market leader and other employees to ensure improvement in HEDIS, CAHPS, HOS and quality of care issues. There will be focus on improvements through internal and external education, innovative programs and provider engagement. 



  • Innovative programming that supports the provider/member relationship.

  • Collaboration with UT team to improve HEDIS, CAHPS and HOS results

  • Internal and external customer education.

  • Identification and resolution of clinical quality issues.

  • Responsible for direction and guidance on clinical quality improvement and management programs including accreditation. 

  • Conducts clinical quality audits and may also be responsible for NCQA requirements.

  • Responsible for the reporting and analysis of member care quality and for the development of plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using HEDIS and other tools. 

  • Responsible for driving the vision and program for Medicare Stars Improvement.

Requirements


  • Associates Degree or higher in Nursing required

  • Active, licensed Registered Nurse in UT required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare

  • Previous management or leadership experience preferred

  • 2 or more years working specifically in a clinical quality role

  • Knowledge of HEDIS and Medicare Stars programs are a must
