The Senior Data Entry Clerk supports the Medicare and Retirement team.



Main responsibility: Confidential
entry and processing of member documents into UHC clinical platforms. Data entry
team members need to be able to work independently but also collaboratively.



Positions in this function include operating data entry
devices to perform a variety of data entry duties across functions including
Claims and Network Operations. Lead role may include review and verification of
work of lower level employees.



Core Competencies:



  • Detail oriented

  • Organized

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Good oral and written communication skills required

  • Basic experience of office machines and their uses per
    operating unit e.g., copiers, scanners, fax & sorters

  • Current proficiency utilizing a PC and navigating
    through applications and the internet as well as being savvy to work in
    many systems simultaneously. 





Requirements



Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Experience working within a fast paced professional
    business environment
  • Data entry or clerical experience is required
  • Microsoft Office (Basic proficiency):  Word and
    Excel
  • Experience with office machines is required (fax,
    scanners, printers, computers)
  • Current proficiency utilizing a PC and navigating
    through applications and the internet as well as being savvy to work in
    many systems simultaneously. 
  • Available to work a full time 40 hours per week
    schedule


Preferred Assets:



  • Experience with Medical Terminology
  • Experience using ICD-9 and CPT Coding
  • Managed Care or Health Insurance experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio
  • Experience using Microsoft Access.
