2nd & 3rd Shift Maintenance Technicians - Full-time / Part-time

(2 nd & 3 rd shifts) – Mandatory weekends

PrideStaff is currently seeking 2nd & 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanics for a food manufacturing facility located in Chicago, Illinois. Ideal candidates are available to work the mandatory required overtime during the weekends. Candidates are responsible for making repairs and corrections to machinery to insure the continual and smooth operation of the bakery equipment. Also responsible for line equipment preparation for specific production requirements, upkeep to prevent any contamination from operating equipment affecting product in process, preventative maintenance as proactive measures to avoid downtime, and to maintain all protective systems regarding physical safety on all plant equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• MUST have experience in the food industry .
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to keep all machinery in optimal condition.

Perform all necessary repairs and corrections to equipment as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.

Promptly responds to calls from Production Supervisors for assistance.

Must be knowledgeable in regards to use and calibration of measuring instruments.

Able to perform diagnostic evaluations to determine cause of equipment malfunction.

Knowledgeable in the bakery process, especially regarding timing issues.

Notifies Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager when outside vendor assistance is required.

Possess working knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical diagnosis.

Immediately informs Maintenance Supervisor when extensive repairs will cause production delays.

Knowledge of proper parts required for repairs of equipment.

Maintain a good knowledge of hazardous materials (handling, storage and transfer).

Responsible for safety on the line and for adhering to all safety rules and programs.

Assist in keeping inventory of required spare parts.

Notify Maintenance Supervisor of any deviations, difficulties and/or inventory issues.

Follow all GMP’s, HACCP, and Food Safety Rules and Procedures.

Pay Scale:

$20.00-22.00
