Job Summary: Manage the development / construction of new facilities, remodels, expansions, acquisition conversions and special projects as assigned. Insure timely completion, quality results and budget control on all projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Construction Management Duties:

Act as a liaison between the developer/general contractor/landlord/architect/civil engineer/operations/other vendors as needed to insure proper communication and correspondence occur in a timely manner in order to expedite the development process
Maintain and update the project tracking software (Lucernex)
Provide detailed updates in roll out meetings on status of all assigned projects
Provide timely communication to FCER Operations on assigned projects
Ensure each vendor is given the highest level of customer service and every staff member is treated with the utmost respect
Assist with development, review and modification of floor plans and construction documents, as needed
Manage the GC bid process, work with the developer on leveling the bids, make valid recommendations to Director for selection of winning GC and awarding of contract
Directly manage the construction process including developer, GC and major equipment vendors
Work closely with purchasing department to ensure proper timing of equipment and supply deliveries prior to open
Weekly on-site visits to manage and drive progress on construction projects
Maintain constant contact with Developer, GC, vendors, operations, IT, purchasing and supervisor to ensure on-time opening of new facilities
Attend zoning, planning and predevelopment meetings with cities, as required

Facility Opening Duties:

Coordinate turn-over of project to store opening team
Test and confirm functionality of all systems, working with other staff as necessary
Interface with other vendors such as FCER IT, phone, low-voltage cabling, radiology, security etc to ensure timely delivery and installation of items

WORK CONDITIONS

Office/medical emergency room environment, construction job-site work, and outdoor work
Must be able to lift 75 pounds, work on ladders, crawl in/under counters, and work in hot/cold/dusty environments
Will require weekly travel to new construction sites and existing facilities. Will include overnight stays outside of local area of up to one week at a time. Typical stays would be one to two nights
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of projects and to make general
observations of facilities or structures

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent required. 4-year college degree preferred.
Must be comfortable using computers and learning to use web based development programs and applications for drawing or updating electronic floor plans, email, etc.,
At least three to five years of similar experience or demonstrate ability to quickly learn relevant skills
Must have the ability to perform simple and complex tasks including project scheduling, forecasting and budget reconciliation.
Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
Must be available during a variety of different hours
