Labor Ready is seeking qualified candidates for Road Maintenance/General Laborer in Hutto, TX areas. Job Duties may include:

Workers will be performing road maintenance duties:

• Set out signs and cones around work areas to divert traffic.
• Drive trucks or tractors with adjustable attachments to sweep debris from paved surfaces, mow grass and weeds, and remove snow and ice.
• Drive trucks to transport crews and equipment to work sites.
• Inspect, clean, and repair drainage systems, bridges, tunnels, and other structures.
• Erect, install, or repair guardrails, beams, highway markers, warning signals, and highway lighting, using hand tools and power tools.
• Remove litter and debris from roadways, including debris from rock and mud slides.
• Clean and clear debris from culverts, catch basins, drop inlets, ditches, and other drain structures.
• Perform roadside landscaping work, such as clearing weeds and brush, and planting and trimming trees.
• Inspect markers to verify accurate installation.
• Apply poisons along roadsides and in animal burrows to eliminate unwanted roadside vegetation and rodents.
• Measure and mark locations for installation of markers, using tape, string, or chalk.
• Blend compounds to form adhesive mixtures used for marker installation.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willing to work Shifts, weekends, and overtime if necessary. Must also be willing to rotate Shifts as needed
• Bilingual in English & Spanish – Helpful but not required
• Proper Identification proving eligibility to work in the US
• Prior experience in road maintenance is a plus
• Willingness and ability to learn new task quickly
• Values a team work environment, have an upbeat personality, and self motivated
• Excellent attendance required; dependable, trustworthy, strong work ethic, respects authority
• Ability to work in any weather condition
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift 30 lbs repeatedly during a Shift with a can do attitude
• Must follow safety regulations and wear proper safety equipment as job demands (i.e. Steel Toe boots)

Pay Rate:  $8.00 per hour

Shifts/Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 AM, 8 AM-7 PM
