The Kebab Shop (TKS) is a fast-casual, rapidly expanding new concept in the U.S. that was founded in San Diego in 2007. We serve a European-style Mediterranean menu based on the #1 fast food in Europe - Doner Kebabs! TKS is growing quickly and we are looking for the right people to grow with us! Job Requirements:
All of our Team Members are expected to play their roles in ensuring a great dining experience for our customers. This not only means preparing and serving delicious food but also providing exceptional customer service so our customers feel appreciated and wants to return.
Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Food Prep
* Completing hot and cold food preparation assignments accurately and in a timely fashion
* Following recipes accurately and maintaining food preparation processes such as cutting, marinating, seasoning, and grilling meats; cutting, chopping, and slicing vegetables
* Demonstrate proper knife handling skills
* Maintaining proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while preparing food

Customer Service
* Providing a friendly, courteous customer experience to each TKS customer

Sanitation
* Following TKS sanitation standards including washing cookware and utensils and cleaning equipment throughout the day

The ideal candidate will:
* Have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel and work as part of a team by helping others as needed or requested
* Have the ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
* Be able to exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude, and provide exceptional customer service
* Be able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency
* Have the ability to demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu

ESSENTIAL MANAGER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Hiring of Team Members and ensuring that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs.
* Ensures development of hourly Team Members, including maintaining an environment that fosters associate motivation, development and training.
* Manages in compliance with TKS policies and procedures and all local, state and federal regulations.
* Monitors the performance of the restaurant through analysis of financial reports and initiates corrective action as required.
* Assists in the development of short and long term financial and operational plans for the restaurant in support of corporate objectives.
* Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting evaluations and investigating any complaints. Initiates corrective action as required.
* Recommends local restaurant marketing programs to build sales and implements programs
* Maintains applicable preventative maintenance programs.
* Ensures the security and safety of the restaurant, its guests and associates.
* Any other duties deemed necessary.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
* College degree or equivalent experience preferred
* High School or GED REQUIRED
* Demonstrates strong leadership and guest service skills.
* Strong ability to Multi-task
* Quick learner, Proactive
* Demonstrates sound reasoning and follow-through in decision-making processes.
* Demonstrates excellent organizational, financial and problem solving skills.
* Ability to attract, train, retain, and motivate quality Team Members.
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* 2+ years restaurant management experience preferred
